Q: Which customers are entitled to the Sky Sports F1™ HD channel?

A: The channel is free to customers who have HD or Sky Sports 1&2

Q: How can customers access the channel?

A: Sky Sports F1™ HD will appear on channel 408

Q: Does a customer need to do anything to get Sky Sports F1™ HD if they already have HD or Sky Sports 1&2?

A: No, they’ll automatically have access to the new channel when it launches from 9 March 2012

Q: Will the new F1 channel be available in standard definition?

A: Yes. Sky Sports 1&2 customers without the HD pack can watch the new channel in standard definition. This channel number is TBC before the channel launches. Customers who have both Sky Sports 1&2 and the HD pack will have both channels, Sky Sports F1 in standard definition and Sky Sports F1 HD

Q: Will Sky Sports F1™ HD be available in 3D?

A: The 2012 season will not be broadcast in 3D. Future seasons are not yet decided.

Q: What races are Sky showing?

A: Sky are the only provider who’ll be showing ALL 20 races live in HD, as well as qualifying and practice sessions. Sky Sports F1™ HD has exclusive coverage of the first 2 Grand Prix races of the 2012 season

Q: What races are the BBC showing?

A: The BBC will be showing 10 of the races live, starting their coverage with the third race of the season in China on 15 April

Q: Can I see Sky Sports F1™ HD on Freesat, Freeview or other Pay TV providers?

A: The channel will not be available to Freeview or Freesat customers. We’re currently in conversations with other providers about access and will advise when more information is available. Customers who have Freeview from Sky will be able to experience the channel, free, for a week between 9-16 March

Q: Can customers pay for the channel on its own, have access to specific races or a season ticket to watch the F1 channel on Sky without subscribing to Sky?

A: No. The F1 Channel is only available FREE for customers with HD or Sky Sports 1&2
