Use the right band
Some printers prefer 2.4 GHz networks. If setup fails on a combined network name, check the router's band settings.
Move it for setup
A printer in a weak corner may fail setup even if it later prints small jobs. Try configuring it closer to the router.
Keep the network name stable
Changing SSID or password later means reconnecting the printer, so document what worked.
Before you buy or book anything
- Record which rooms and devices are affected.
- Test with one known-good cable or one known-good location.
- Keep affiliate buying decisions separate from basic troubleshooting.
