Start near the TV
Check whether the TV sees the network and whether the password is correct. Some TVs show both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz names separately.
Test streaming, not only connection
A connected TV can still buffer if the signal is weak. Try a speed test app or open a demanding streaming service.
Consider Ethernet for fixed TVs
If the TV never moves and is close to the router or a cable route, Ethernet can be a calmer option than weak Wi-Fi.
Before you buy or book anything
- Record which rooms and devices are affected.
- Test with one known-good cable or one known-good location.
- Keep affiliate buying decisions separate from basic troubleshooting.
