Compare rooms before buying gear

Use one known-good cable
Testing with a known-good fly lead removes one variable. Cheap or tired leads cause more Freeview confusion than many people expect.
Record when it happens
Pixelation that appears at the same time each day may involve interference. Weather-linked faults point more toward outdoor joints, movement, or marginal signal.
Before you buy or book anything
- Record which rooms and devices are affected.
- Test with one known-good cable or one known-good location.
- Keep affiliate buying decisions separate from basic troubleshooting.
